This privacy statement explains how Boundless Bookkeeping Ltd collects, stores, uses and shares your personal information.

Openness and transparency are important to us. The Privacy Act 2020 requires us to tell you certain things about the personal information we need to carry out our functions. This is where we explain our privacy practices and why you can trust us to handle your information with care and respect.

We only collect personal information from you where this is necessary to carry out our functions, including information about your:

  • Name
  • Contact information
  • Billing or purchase information
  • Financial data

We collect your personal information in order to provide our services at your request and we only collect personal information directly from you unless otherwise authorised by you.

We do not share personal information unless necessary in order to give effect to the Privacy Act including properly carrying out our services.

We use social networking services such as Facebook and Instagram to communicate with the public about our services. When you communicate with us using these services, the social networking service may collect your personal information for its own purposes. These services may track your use of our website on the pages where their links are displayed. If you are logged in to those services (including any Google services) while using our site, their tracking will be associated with your profile with them. These services have their own privacy statements which are independent of ours. They do not have any access to the person information we hold.

You do not have to provide your personal information to us. However, we may not be able to effectively carry out our services if you do not provide us with the information required.

We keep your information safe by storing it on a secure cloud platform which is only accessed by staff who require it to provide the requested services.

We keep your information for one year following the conclusion of our services to you at which point we securely destroy it by securely erasing all digital files and shredding all paper files. All financial documents are held for the required 7 years or returned to you upon conclusion of our services to you.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. We may update this privacy statement from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Privacy Act, so feel free to check it periodically to see what might have changed.
